The M.A.R.S. Project, finally updated!!!

After months of academic-hibernation (finishing my bachelor's degree in humanities) I have finally made time to scan and upload the box of contributions that has been accumulating since the fall. Thanks to everyone who continued to contribute to the project, even through the "quiet times" when I was hammering away on papers instead of performing my Martian duties!

I'll try to keep up with the site from now on, but I've heard grad studies are even more time consuming than undergrad, so if things seem quiet for awhile, just assume I'm typing up a paper, and KEEP ON SENDING! This has turned into a really exciting and fantastically cool project. I can't wait for the rains to cease so I can take things back outside!!!

Thanks again for your patience and participation!

Anti Robot Inundation Army... The complete propaganda poster (finally!!! The pieces to this puzzle have been in my possession for months, but I haven't assembled and integrated them until now... The truth can now be told!) Posted by Picasa

John Warren Oakes... A very interesting print! Posted by Picasa

Laura Barletta... Our most prolific contributor returns with another intriguing invention! Brilliant, as always... Posted by Picasa

Laura Barletta... The postal side... (Always just as interesting as the "main" attraction...) Posted by Picasa

Susan Williamson... "The View from Mars." Again, the scans don't really do justice to this awesome print. The colours are so bright and vibrant that they practically radiate from this card. I'm tempted to turn out the lights and see if they glow! (Susan, you will HAVE to tell me how you got this print so bright! It's absolutely beautiful.) Posted by Picasa

J. Shantz... Construction paper collage... Invokes both Matisse AND Parker & Stone! Posted by Picasa

Postal carrier performance art... I found this great "shoe-print" on the back of the envelope from J. Shantz... Good to see the USPS getting into the whole artist spirit!!! Posted by Picasa

API-Pondidia... "Mandalas Drawn From Within" Posted by Picasa

API-Pondidia... The envelope is the message! In order to get at the sweet, art-meats inside this envelope, I had to cut the dang thing open. Decades of comic book collecting made this a painful procedure for me, as I had to damage the object in order to enjoy it... I'm calling it a one-time performance piece, "OPEN, UNFOLD, DAMAGE, AND ENJOY..." Posted by Picasa

API-Pondidia... Dotty, spotty back-o-envelope. Posted by Picasa
