News from Mars!!!
Here below is a minor update to the site. Since scanning these items, I have already received another pile of materials, but I don't have the energy to scan and post them all, yet... I'll try to get them up as soon as I feel like it... (Not very commital, I know.)
In other news, I had a private showing of the M.A.R.S. Porject archive in the form of a massive bar-b-que at my house on September 3rd. We had a sound system pumping out tunes, a HUGE amount of food, the artwork displayed "laundry-line" style, clothes-pinned to this great fluffy yarn in two long rows. I thought this would be the best way to display the materials because so many of the works have interesting images on both sides. Dozens of people, family, friends, neighbors, and local artists (writers, collagists, zinesters, a metal sculpter, and a filmmaker) all hung out, chatted, listened to music, and looked at the artwork. It was a really good time, and everybody said how exciting and inspirational the entire thing turned out to be. (It was a ball, but it will be MANY MOONS before I have another party with that many people again...
Interestingly enough, the filmmaker (who is also the editor of Vision? Nary! Magazine based in Olympia, Washington USA) made a mini-documentary about the event which he has made available online. (Well, I guess it's not THAT "mini;" the download is 25 megabites...) If you're interested check out his site:

And, in other other news, I've finally decided to put up a site based on the mail-art that I've sent out. It's not ready yet, but when it's primed for public scrutiny I'll post a note letting everyone know the address.
Thanks for playing!!
